Hey there Masset Chefs!
If you know me, you know how obsessed I am with seafood. So, it's only right that I swap my chicken wings with shrimp to offer you this delicious and hot recipe. The ingredients used to make this meal will bring you the crisp, tanginess and heat you have been looking for. And to top it all off, the homemade ranch will make you wonder if you had enough shrimp to start with lol. Trust me on that.
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients for the shrimp:
20 large, deveined shrimps
1 egg
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard or Sapali
2 teaspoons Soumbedioune
1 tablespoon of Piri-piri
1 teaspoon of 7-Herbs and Garlic
Olive oil
Salt and pepper for taste
Ingredients for the Buffalo sauce:
1 stick of unsalted butter (if you want to use salted butter, watch out on the amount of salt you'll use)
1/2 cup of Harissa
1/2 cup of lemon
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
Ingredients for the Blue Cheese Dip:
1 cup of crumbled blue cheese
1 cup of sour cream
2 cups of buttermilk
2 tablespoon of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of 7-Herbs and Garlic
Salt and pepper for taste
PREPARATION
Preheat the oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350 ° F (175 ° C).
In a small bowl, beat the egg and mix it with the mustard. Add the seasonings. Place the shrimp in a large bowl and pour the egg / mustard mixture evenly over the shrimp.
Remove the shrimp covered with the egg mixture
In a large ziplock bag, combine the breadcrumbs, flour, 7-Herbs & Garlic and Soumbedioune.
Add the shrimp in the ziplock bag and shake well
Then place directly in the oil
Cook 4-5 shrimp at a time. (About 1-2 minutes per side.) As soon as the shrimp is cooked, drain and set aside while you make the buffalo sauce
To make the Buffalo sauce, combine all the ingredients in a saucepan by melting the butter and mix well.
Drop the shrimp in the sauce and fold until the shrimp is entirely covered with the sauce
In a separate bowl, mix all the ingredients to make the blue cheese dip ranch. First put the cheese crumbles in a bowl, then add the buttermilk, sour cream, mayo, and the spices. Mix it all using a work.
Et voila! As usual, make sure to let us know how it went.
Bon Appetit,
Aby
