Iftar Series - Day 13: Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips

Hey there Masset Chefs!

Somehow, banana breads are definitely a hot trend right now! There are hundreds of them on social media and on the internet. So I jumped on the bandwagon and decided to bring you this exceptional recipe, and believe me, this banana bread will surprise you with its softness, almost melting because of all the moist it comes with! And it does not take time to make at all! Let's get started.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 bananas (make sure they are very ripe!)

  • 1 1/2 cup of self-raising flour (note the difference from regular flour. With this one, you won't need to add baking powder)

  • 2 cups of of fine sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Chai

  • 1 tablespoon of evaporated milk

  • 6 1/2 tablespoons of butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 pinch of salt

PREPARATION

  1. Grease and flour your cake pan. Preheat the oven to 320 ° F

  2. Mix the flour with the sugar and the salt

  3. Smash the bananas on a separate bowl and mix with the milk and Chai until it becomes a paste

  4. Separately, mix the 2 whole eggs with the melted butter then pour to your mix from step 2

  5. Add the bananas that you previously mixed in step 3. Incorporate the chocolate chips before pouring the batter in your pan

  6. Bake in the oven at 350 ° F for an hour.

As usual, make sure to let us know how it went.

Bon Appetit,

Aby
