Iftar Series - Day 24: Raisin-Cinnamon Homemade French Toast

Hey there Masset Chefs!

They are so many variations when it comes to French toasts. Yet, I still believe the fruits included are making the best of them Here's a quick and easy recipe of perfect French toasts. Iftar will be lit today!

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4 Pepperidge  Farm Swirl Bread (I used their raisin cinnamon edition)

  2. 1 egg

  3. 1/4 cup of Carnation milk

  4. 1 teaspoon Chai

  5. 1 teaspoon Ginger Mix

  6. 1 teaspoon Sugar n Spice

  7. 1/4 cup of sugar

  8. 1 drop of vanilla extract

  9. Butter

Toppings

  1. Whipped Cream (I choose non fat)

  2. Berries (Blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries)

  3. Maple Syrup

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, beat the egg , Chai, Sugar n Spice and Ginger Mix

  2. Add the sugar, the milk and the vanilla extract.

  3. Get a large skillet, pancake pan or large pan and lightly grease with butter

  4. Dip the slices of bread into the mixture while turning it to coat both sides of the bread evenly

  5. Do not leave too long before it gets too mushy.  Proceed to fry until golden brown and then flip to fry the other side evenly

  6. Once they are done, let it cool off a little then add your toppings!

Who said you couldn't cook now?

As usual, make sure to let us know how it went.

Bon Appetit,

Aby
