“Piri-piri” means “pepper-pepper” in Swahili, the pan-African language, and sometimes the chile is called “pili-pili.” It has been a staple of the Portuguese table since the Age of Discovery beginning in the 14th century. The taste is usually and uniquely garlicy, spicy, lemony, tangy and utterly addictive blend makes the blend a must-slather on any kind of poultry, and seafood. The blend includes paprika, oregano, cardamom, ginger, onion, garlic, salt, cayenne pepper, fenugreek, chili pepper, cilantro, orange peels, black seeds, coriander, cinnamon, rosemary, clove, thyme, lime; red, green and yellow peppers. Sprinkle this blend on grilled food and you'll be sure to go straight to heaven!
